The search engine is still blocked by browsers due to a certificate glitch

The Bing search engine got blocked by browsers over the weekend due to a security certificate issue that prevented users from accessing the service through a secure connection.

Fast forward a couple of days and Microsoft is still working on a fix, even though it initially seemed to be just a minor issue that could be fixed in a matter of hours.

At this point, users who wish to access the secure version of Bing are blocked from doing this by most browsers out there, including Microsoft’s own Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.

Special rules indeed allow you to bypass the warning and load the website, but users are recommended to stick to the standard version of Bing until Microsoft resolves the issue.

Microsoft hasn’t said a thing about this security certificate issue, so more details on the glitch are very likely to be released in the next few days.
