14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft’s top-of-the-range Surface Pro 3 models are now being shipped to customers who pre-ordered them, as the company has until now sold only the version equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor.
The models that are delivered to customers right now come with Intel Core i3 and i7 processors and feature either 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the configuration you choose.
As you most likely know by now, the Surface Pro 3 is the most advanced tablet ever launched by Microsoft and comes with a 12-inch screen that allows it to easily turn into a laptop whenever you need to work on the go.
“Barely tipping the scales at 1.76 pounds, the new 12-inch Surface Pro 3 has all the power and performance of a premium laptop in a thin and lightweight design. It also comes with the all-new Surface Pen which delivers a natural writing and drawing experience,” Microsoft says about its new tablet.
The Surface Pro 3 comes with the full version of Windows 8.1 Pro and is being delivered with a digital pen that allows users to write or draw on the screen with minimum effort, just like they do on a regular notebook. As expected, OneNote integration is playing a key role in this, as the digital pen allows you to launch Microsoft’s note-taking app with the press of a button.

Probably the most important setback of this tablet is pricing, as many people consider it a very expensive device because the top-of-the-range model is sold in the United States for almost $2,000 (€1,500). Here are the full pricing details for the United States market:
