It’s no secret that Microsoft needs to bring more apps in the Windows Store, as the lack of Modern tools is considered one of the most important shortcomings for the new operating system.

In addition to plenty of campaigns supposed to encourage developers to create Windows 8 apps, Microsoft is now offering software makers $100 (€77) for each approved Store entry during a promotional campaign.

The promo is aimed at both Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 developers, with a maximum of 10 apps per platform allowed for each software creator. This means that a single developer could earn $2,000 (€1555) if he creates 10 apps for Windows 8 and another 10 for Windows Phone 8.

The campaign debuted on March 8 and runs through June 30, with the money to be transferred to a virtual Visa card for each qualified developer.
