If you’re looking for high-quality Windows 8.1 apps, you definitely need to keep an eye on the spotlight section of the store, as Microsoft adds new temporary subsections to promote specific apps every once in a while.

This time, Redmond is highlighting apps that can help you “experience new music” on Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, so both desktop and tablet users are invited to benefit from this promo.

The collection includes popular apps such as iHeartRadio, TuneIn Radio, Shazam, Rhapsody, and Songza, all of which are offered for free, but might come with in-app purchases for additional features.

Keep in mind that this new app subsection in the Windows Store is there only temporary, so in case you want to download one of these programs, you need to check out the spotlight category as soon as possible. If they’re not there, simply search for the app’s name using the built-in search feature.
