While nobody knows for sure whether Windows 8 is a successful product or not since Microsoft is sidestepping every single question regarding the sales performance of its OS, the company continues to promote it with every single occasion.

This time, the Redmond-based technology giant is showcasing seven of the best apps available in the Store, as more “app builders across the globe are bringing amazing experiences to Windows 8 and enjoying success along the way.”

Be it Chimpact, Music Maker Jam, Calculator2, Cookbook, DoodleGod, Paint 4 Kids or Urban Airship, all apps provide a truly unique experience when used on a Windows 8 device. Or at least, that’s what Microsoft claims.

Nevertheless, there are nearly 45,000 apps available in the Store, even though the big ones are still missing, including official Twitter and Google clients. The good news, on the other hand, is that there are plenty of third-party clients that could replace them.
