Failed to purchase one of those ridiculously cheap ASUS laptops that sold last week for just $99? Maybe buying a tablet that sells for even less might bring your good spirits back.

Microsoft’s 12 Days of Deals for 2014 is about to kick start and on the first day (8 December, 8 a.m. ET) it is offering the already cheap Toshiba Encore Mini (usually $99 / €78 in the same location) for a mind-blowing $79 / €64.

The promotion is available only today so if the offer sounds good to you, you better remain close to your computer around the hour mentioned above.

The Toshiba Encore Mini comes with a 7-inch display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution and 5-finger multi-touch support. Power comes from an Intel Atom Z3735G processor clocked at 1.33GHz with Burst Speeds reaching up to 1.8Hz.

The slate has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is specific to tablets running Windows 8.1 with Bing like this one.

Buying the tablet will also get you a 1-year subscription to Office 365 Personal. The promotion includes a 16GB microSD card.

Keep an eye on Microsoft and its slew of promotions in the upcoming days.
