Microsoft has just revealed its latest sales figures and confirmed that since the release of the Xbox 360 back in 2005, it's sold over 76 million units worldwide.

While the Wii is experiencing a sharp downward sales trend and the PS3 is barely turning a profit for Sony, Microsoft's Xbox 360 is still going extremely strong worldwide, managing to overtake its competitors in a variety of different markets.

The company has now revealed its latest sales figures, via CVG, confirming earlier estimates that over 76 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold around the globe since the device's release in 2005.

What's more, the special Kinect sensor for the Xbox 360 is also doing great, as over 25 million devices have been sold worldwide since the release of it in November 2010.

Xbox Live, the online service exclusive to the console, is also doing great, as over 46 million subscribers have active accounts, although Microsoft didn't say how many were paying a Gold subscription and how many were sticking with the Free membership.
