Microsoft has already presented the second-generation Surface tablet, with the company now allowing users to place a pre-order via its official website.

It turns out that the tech giant is recording a terrific success with its new device, as Neowin is now reporting, citing internal sources, that the company is selling more tablets than it can actually produce.

While this could be just a strategy to trick us into believing that the Surface 2 is already a successful product, Microsoft also displays a sold out notification on its website, telling visitors that specific models are no longer available.

Consumers who already preordered a Surface 2 tablet will get their hands on the device starting October 22, as Microsoft has promised to begin shipments four days after the launch of Windows 8.1.
