Microsoft has already confirmed that it plans to launch several new stores in the United States, but it appears that the company is actually secretly preparing some new locations in the country.

Neowin.net has come across some new job advertisements on the Microsoft Careers website, all of which indicate that the Redmond-based technology giant might open the doors of new specialty stores anytime soon.

Specifically, Microsoft is looking for people to work in Providence, Rhode Island, Sacramento, California, Arlington, Texas, Novi, Michigan and Elmhurst, New York.

Unsurprisingly, some of these locations have been used by Microsoft to support the launch of Windows 8 and the Surface tablet, both of which saw daylight in October 2012.

The company opened several new temporary stores at that time in an attempt to bring the new products closer to its buyers and thus support their early uptake.
