Microsoft has just published a brand new Windows 8 ad, but as compared to the older clips, this new one isn’t necessarily focused on features of the operating system.

The company is now trying to suggest that Windows 8 has spawned a new generation of PCs that puts the focus on touchscreen devices and makes it easier to perform your daily activities.

While Microsoft hasn’t said a word about this clip, the company expects Windows 8.1 to do basically the same thing and convince manufacturers to continue investments in touchscreen units and embrace the new OS.

New form factors and plenty of fresh devices are expected to launch together with Windows 8.1, the company said. Word is that the second-generation Surface tablet is also prepared to see daylight in October.
