All eyes are on the RTM version of Windows 8.1, but Microsoft continues to improve the Preview build in anticipation of the stable flavor expected to be announced this month.

The company has released a batch of four different patches today, three of which are supposed to address bugs found in Internet Explorer 11.

The updates are patching holes that would allow attackers to take control of a vulnerable system once the user visits a compromised website, while also fixing Flash bugs and glitches affecting media content based on adaptive streaming.

As usual, all patches are being delivered via the built-in Windows Update feature, so make sure you connect your device to the Internet to download and install them as soon as possible.

As for the RTM version, Microsoft is expected to announce it later this month, while general availability is rumored to be prepared for mid-October.
