A new version of the application is now up for grabs on Windows 8.1

Microsoft keeps improving Windows 8.1 Metro apps on a regular basis, so today a new version of the Mail tool got to see daylight with several improvements.

Redmond has made a common practice to avoid rolling out release notes for the updated Windows 8.1 Metro apps, so we can’t tell for sure what’s exactly new in the Mail app version released this morning, but all users are, however, recommended to get it as soon as possible.

Interestingly, the official Windows Store app of the Mail, Calendar, and People app is still displaying the old change log, but no details on the fresh build have been provided. It’s safe to assume however that it comes with bug fixes and performance improvements, so you’re strongly recommended to get it straight away.

Of course, the new build is being delivered to both Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 devices, so everybody should get it right now to make sure that they’re running the latest build.

Of course, we’re still waiting for some official release notes provided by the software giant for this new build, but in the meantime you can download Mail for Windows 8.1 manually to deploy the update right now and attempt to fix any potential bug that might have occurred.
