Apps published in the Windows Store can also be viewed from the browser but, up until now, there was no other choice to search for them beside Google.

It appears that the tech giant has actually rolled out a search tool for the Windows Store that can be accessed from the browser, even though no official announcement has been made.

Just like McAkins Online writes, you can search for apps by simply typing their name or keywords and by selecting the “Apps” category in the left sidebar.

Alternatively, if Microsoft’s new search option isn’t quite your cup of tea, you can always turn to third-party services, such as MetroStore Scanner, which not only comes with a search engine, but it also lets you see the recently updated apps published in the Store.
