Both the Surface RT and the Pro have received several improvements on Patch Tuesday

Just as promised, Microsoft used Patch Tuesday to address some critical bugs reported on both Surface RT and Pro tablets, including the longtime Wi-Fi issue that blocks owners from accessing the web.

According to the Surface RT update history page, the new round of patches comprises updates to resolve system crashes caused by certain Wi-Fi issues, but also firmware updates to improve Wi-Fi and handle a wider range of access points.

While Microsoft has also tried to resolve the “limited” Wi-Fi connectivity bug, the company says it has fixed only “certain” problems, so don’t be too surprised if the glitch still persists after applying the updates.

Just like on a typical Windows 8 computer, the patches are being delivered to Surface RT tablets through the integrated Windows Update, so make sure you install all of them as soon as possible.
