Last week Microsoft announced a new Xbox One update is available for download to all those who have been accepted in the “preview” program. At that time, the company confirmed that the Xbox One April system update would be delivered in two parts, one per week.

Last week, the April preview update brought some Party Chat improvements, Activity feed items and Achievements, but the Redmond-based company did not reveal what changes would be implemented in this week's update.

Today, Larry Hryb unveiled the full changelog of the second part of the Xbox One April system update, which is now available for download to preview consoles.

According to the changelog, the update brings Voice messages for Xbox One preview program members, so they will now be able to compose and playback voice messages in the messages app when snapped on their consoles.

Basically, the new feature allows users to record audio messages and send them to their friends or other through their snapped messages app accessed through a double tap of the Xbox button.

It's also worth mentioning that Microsoft made it possible for voice messages to be exchanged between Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

Three new features have been implemented in this update

The next new feature included in this update is Dedicated servers for party chat. The improvement of the party chat with dedicated chat relay servers will basically allow Xbox One owners with NAT issues in the past to finally party chat more reliably.

Keep in mind though that this service will only be available for parties where one or more members are previewing the April system update.

Last but not least, the What's On feature is meant to highlight popular movies and videos, as well as TV shows and game broadcasts.

According to Microsoft, its engineers are now experimenting with different scenarios for preview members in the US and this month, the preview of this feature is being expanded to Canada and the UK.
