The company has released patches to boost Windows performance

Microsoft today released this month’s Patch Tuesday updates to fix security flaws in its software, including Windows and Internet Explorer.

In addition, the company has also rolled out a bunch of non-security updates aimed at Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users, which means that all those who install these fixes should experience enhanced performance and reliability on both desktop computers and tablets.

The 16 non-security updates launched today are still being delivered via Windows Update and solve issues such as compatibility problems, driver glitches, bugs in Windows and errors spotted when trying to start applications after upgrading to Windows 8.1

As ZDNet writes, no Windows XP and Vista updates are included on this list, as they’re both out of mainstream support, so Microsoft only launches security patches for the two operating systems.

Here’s the complete list of non-security updates rolled out for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 this morning:
