Microsoft has recently released a new Windows 8.1 ad, highlighting the touch capabilities of its operating system, but also talking about the productivity side of the devices that run it.

Part of the “Honestly” campaign, the new commercial stars an Asus 2-in-1 that runs Windows 8.1, with a restaurant owner claiming that such a device is the perfect choice for a wide array of purposes, not only because it comes with advanced touch support, but also because it runs Office.

“Whether it's making the perfect playlist or getting stuff done with Microsoft Office, Windows 2 in 1s give you the best of work and play. The New Windows: One experience for everything in your life,” Microsoft says in the video description posted on YouTube.

Even though this new ad is focused on touch, Windows 8.1 has recently received a major set of improvements that are specifically aimed at the traditional PC, thus trying to make the modern UI a bit easier to use with a mouse and keyboard. Options to pin Metro apps to the taskbar and power controls on the Start screen are among the key improvements in this update. More details about all these improvements are available in our Windows 8.1 Update review.

And still, this ad is clearly worth a look, so hit the play button and let us know what you think in the comment box after the jump.
