Microsoft has rolled out a major makeover for its Bing search engine, introducing not only a brand new logo, but also a refreshed design created with simplicity in mind.

The new Bing logo follows the same concept of flat design and is part of the company's "One Microsoft" vision announced by outgoing CEO Steve Ballmer almost two months ago.

"Within our product team, we talk about the goal of Bing as always being helpful, human and beautiful. To chart this course, we have also rebuilt Bing.com with a beautiful new, modern design focused on simplicity, speed and visual appeal to give people a better search experience regardless of the device they are using," the company said in a public announcement.

Microsoft claims that the new design was created to be not only faster, but also cleaner and more visually appealing.

As a result, the developing team focused on basically every single element part of the Bing search engine, including fonts, spacing, colors, visual scan patters, the search box, and other hidden code.

As for features, Microsoft mixed Snapshot and Sidebar in order to display information in an easier to read way, making the service a lot more useful for basically everyone.

"Our new design displays both the factual data about this beautiful route (length, date, related places), and also the human perspective whether they be status updates, photos, tweets, check-in’s or expert opinions," the company noted.

Of course, the tech giant hasn't missed the occasion to emphasize that the new Bing experience is similar on any device out there, including tablets and mobile phones. Of course, Windows Phone are just the right choice for those who wish to search the web with Bing on the go, Microsoft says.

"The improvements we’re releasing in this latest release of Bing.com are the beginning of a new, more modern era for Bing. We believe this reinvention will give people faster access to information, more efficient ways to get things done and a unique and human perspective on search, all delivered through a beautiful experience," the company concluded.
