Microsoft used Patch Tuesday to deliver new updates for its Surface RT tablet, thus fixing some of the bugs found by users in the existing version.

According to Microsoft’s Surface RT update history page, the new firmware packs system performance and reliability improvements, so a slightly enhanced experience should be provided after deploying the patches.

As usual, the new firmware update is being delivered through the integrated Windows Update, so no user interaction is required.

Microsoft recommends users to fully charge their tablets before applying any firmware update, just to make sure that they don’t brick the devices in case the battery gets completely drained during installation.

Also on Patch Tuesday, Microsoft released seven different security bulletins, six of which have been flagged as critical. More information on the provided patches can be found here.
