Microsoft continues to release updates for the built-in Windows 8 apps with a new improvement for the SkyDrive program integrated into its new operating system.

SkyDrive for Windows 8 now features live tile support to keep you up to date with what’s happening in your SkyDrive account. The live tile is now showing the latest uploaded file, along with some details, such as upload date and title.

“Starting today, the SkyDrive app from the Windows Store will start showing you notifications on the live tile when you add new files to your SkyDrive. Now the tile for the SkyDrive app will be useful for more than just launching the app, by providing at-a-glance info on what’s going on in your SkyDrive,” Microsoft said.

As usual, the update is delivered via the Windows Store, so simply launch it and check out the “Updates” section.
