The company has created a new software category in the Store

Microsoft is continuously trying to promote Windows Store apps, so the company creates new categories every once in a while to showcase the best of them.

A dedicated section in the “Lifestyle” category displays the right apps “to make 2013 the best year ever” and includes productivity, health and fitness software solutions.

“Now is the time to start thinking about how to make this year your best year! Whether you want to commit to a healthier, productive, or more organized life, these apps will get you started,” the official description of the new software section reads.

The category is available on all Windows 8 versions, including x86, x64 and ARM builds, but it’s yet unclear how long it will remain available in the Store.

We’re yet to hear from Microsoft on this, but creating new sections for various Windows Store apps is becoming a common practice on Windows 8, so expect similar changes in the future.
