Microsoft continues to spend big on its search engine, so today the video search option of Bing has received a new pack of improvements.

First of all, the company has implemented what is being called pop-out hover preview, which means that you can simply move the mouse cursor over a displayed video to quickly watch a short preview.

“We also expanded the information displayed about a video to speed up your search and now show favicons from the top sites, view counts, descriptions, and bold your search terms in the titles. Additionally, we’ve added a control for our previews so you can adjust the volume level of the preview playback,” the company said.

In addition, Microsoft has released improved filters to search only for 720 or 1080p videos, as well as better navigation and video overlay.

At this point, the new Bing video search is only available in the United States, but more users are expected to receive it in the coming months.
