The latest software update that started to roll out a few days ago to various Windows Phone 8 devices out there is said to have been aimed at resolving the rebooting issues that users reported for it recently.

The update has already landed on HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and 8S smartphones in some markets around the world, and is expected to arrive on all units in the not too distant future.

Speaking to ComputerWorld, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that the company was working with wireless carriers and handset vendors to deliver the update to its users.

Said issue with random reboots was brought to Microsoft’s attention about a month ago, when the company announced that it was looking into the matter. Nokia’s flagship Lumia 920 is said to be affected by this as well.
