14 DAY TRIAL // Four videos advertising the upcoming Windows 8 operating system have been removed from YouTube after Microsoft informed Google that they infringe its copyright.
Paradoxically, the four clips recorded thousands of views in less than one day and were considered a very efficient way to advertise the new Windows OS, but Microsoft decided to take them down immediately.
“This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Microsoft. Sorry about that,” is the message that can be read on the page of every single apparently official clip.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that all clips have been removed from the Internet, as users managed to download and repost them elsewhere, so with a little effort one can find them in a minute.
Microsoft will most likely bring them back to the web soon after the OS’ public debut later this month.
