Microsoft has recently announced the availability of new Internet Explorer 11 virtual machines, explaining that its new releases help developers determine the way their websites would look like on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 running Microsoft’s latest browser version.

Microsoft claims that it has already made some changes to virtual machines based on community feedback, so you might notice that “Windows update is set to off by default to avoid the VMs with older versions of IE updating themselves automatically to the newest version for that operating system.”

At the same time, images now have the longest expiration of the allowed evaluation period, while the company also “instituted a VM build version system and have the home page set to visit modern.IE to check for updates to the VMs.”

All new virtual machines can be found on modern.IE, Microsoft very own website dedicated to developers who are trying to make their websites look good in Internet Explorer.
