Microsoft officially released the Patch Tuesday updates this week, but the company has also unveiled some new updates for the built-in Windows 8 Modern app.
We have already
told you yesterday that the Weather Windows 8 app was updated with historical weather information and performance improvements, but it appears that the News, Finance and Travel apps have also received several new features.
Most of these enhancements are supposed to make the apps work smoother on Windows 8, but the News and the Finance apps also come with additional news sources. In addition, the Sports app now boasts several new pro football leagues.
As you probably know if you’re a Windows 8 adopter, you don’t need to manually download these updates, as the built-in
Windows Store takes care of everything. Just make sure you click on the “Updates” section in the Store.
