OneDrive, the application that provides access to the cloud service with the same name, is now available to those who own an Amazon Fire smartphone, as few as they may be.

Microsoft has recently announced that the OneDrive application is available for both Kindle Fire tablet and Kindle Fire phone, so those who wish to take advantage of the cloud service’s offering can now download it for free.

This is the second major application launched by Microsoft on Amazon App Store in the last couple of weeks, after the Redmond-based company released OneNote for both Fire products.

Amazon Fire phone owners will be pleased to know that once installed on their handsets, OneDrive will give them access to their files while on the move.

The OneDrive service enables users to store, view and share photos or other important documents in the cloud for easier access on the go.

The application is available on all major platforms, including PC, Mac, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and now they are available on Kindle Fire and Fire phone.

You can now download OneDrive for Fire phone for free via Amazon App Store. It requires Android 4.0 and up, but that shouldn’t be a problem as the handset runs Fire OS 3.5, which is based on a newer version of Android.
