Microsoft has just released a new round of improvements for the HealthVault app, making it easier for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 users to track their health.

The new version includes options to record and view lab test results, with the update currently being delivered through the store to users of both desktops and tablets.

“HealthVault for Windows helps you take control of your health and keep your most important health information at your fingertips. Set health goals, track progress, and discover trends,” the app description now states.

The feature lineup remains practically unchanged, so with HealthVault you can still track progress towards your health goals, monitor blood pressure and cholesterol, keep an eye on weight, diet, and exercises, and discover trends in your health and fitness.

To sum up, this is quite a nice addition to the app portfolio of Microsoft’s newest operating system version, so download HealthVault right now, especially if you’ve already installed Windows 8.1.
