Redmond-based technology company Microsoft has released a new batch of fixes as part of this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle, trying to resolve 33 vulnerabilities in various products across its range.

Two of the updates are rated as “critical,” while another eight are “important” and try to fix problems in Internet Explorer, Microsoft Windows, Office, Server and Tools.

Microsoft has also patched the zero-day flaw found in Internet Explorer 8 that allowed cybercriminals to exploit unpatched systems through compromised websites.

“This security update is rated “Critical” for Internet Explorer 8 on Windows clients and “Moderate” for Internet Explorer 8 on Windows servers. There is no severity rating for Internet Explorer 9. This issue was publicly disclosed and there are limited known targeted attacks,” Microsoft explained.

As usual, all patches are delivered via the integrated Windows Update, so make sure you deploy all fixes as soon as possible.
