Now, this is something you don’t see every day. Microsoft has slipped some Wi-Fi routers in a number of Forbes magazines to provide buyers with quick access to its Office 365 productivity suite.

Engadget has found out that Microsoft is using this innovative advertising method to promote Office 365, its cloud-based productivity suite that’s playing a key role for the company’s long-term strategy.

Basically, the built-in routers are providing 15 days of free Wi-Fi to up to five different devices connected at the same time, so Microsoft basically hopes that customers will get the message and give Office 365 a try.

It’s not yet known how many people actually try the cloud-based productivity suite, but this is clearly a pretty smart way to bring your products in the spotlight. As for the cost, no specifics are provided, but the company has most likely spent a fortune on this.
