Available exclusively to registered Microsoft users, the Redmond Company is delivering the Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer September 2006 Community Technology Preview. The tool
is designed to address the design of graphical user interfaces to be integrated into Web and desktop applications. The September 2006 CTP of Expression Interactive Designer delivers compatibility with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Release Candidate 1. Microsoft also stated that the September CTP is exclusively compatible with Windows Vista RC1.
".NET Framework 3.0 RC1 is installed with Windows Vista RC1. There is no separate installation package required. The standalone .NET Framework 3.0 packages are not supported on Windows Vista. Simply install Expression Interactive Designer September 2006 CTP on Windows Vista RC1. Before installing the latest CTPs of .NET Framework 3.0 and Expression Interactive Designer, please uninstall all previous versions of WinFX, Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, MSXML 6.0 and SDK, and Expression Interactive Designer."
As the product is a CTP, the Redmond Company stated that it is meant only for testing and advised against taking it out of experimental environments and using it for production.
