The first handsets set to arrive on shelves in the United States with Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system on board might get a release date on November 7th.

Three such devices were already made official, all three set to arrive on shelves at wireless carrier AT&T, and it appears that November 7th might be their release date.

Microsoft has announced plans to hold a press event on that day, and Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash seem to be the stars of that day.

At the said event, Microsoft's Joe Belfiore and Andy Lees will speak, and chances are that more than just the availability of the said devices will be announced.

Chances are that Microsoft would also unveil some of its plans for the future OS updates for the Windows Phone platform, though we'll have to wait for November 7th to arrive to learn exactly what the event will be all about.
