It’s a well-known fact that Microsoft is ending Windows XP support in April this year, so the company keeps issuing warnings on social media channels to all those still running this particular OS version.

This time, Microsoft Asia issued a recommendation to those in Singapore, as 603,955 computers in the country are still stuck to Windows XP, according to Redmond’s very own statistics.

“The risks of system failure and business disruption could increase because of the end of support, lack of supported software, and the increasing age of hardware running Windows XP,” Microsoft noted.

At this point, no less than 29 percent of desktop computers worldwide are still running Windows XP, which makes Microsoft’s intention to stop providing support for this particular OS version a bit dangerous for quite a lot of users.

Windows XP is also the second top OS worldwide and one of the main platforms for ATMs worldwide, with experts claiming that the transition to newer software is very unlikely to complete before April.
