This is the second ad that puts the personal assistants against each other

Regardless of what mobile ecosystem you prefer, it should be fun to see how major players in the smartphone business take jabs at each other if given the opportunity.

It’s been less than a week since Microsoft made fun of Apple’s Siri in a commercial that’s still aired in some countries. Well, it looks like the Redmond-based company is back with yet another ad that puts Cortana against Siri, once again.

So while the previous commercial points out the fact that the HTC One M8 for Windows has two front speakers, while the iPhone 5s has only one on the bottom side, the second ad highlights some of the features Cortana offers.

Cortana can act like a reminder for basically anything that’s been included in the Windows Phone, from restaurants, people, news, calendar and a lot more. As Microsoft puts it, “what Siri forgets, Cortana remembers.”

Microsoft claims that “Cortana gets to know you and learns your interests over time. She remembers your favorite people, restaurants, news topics and more. She can even remember your appointments and help you get there on time with proactive traffic alerts.”

Expect more of these funny commercials to be aired soon

If you’ve been playing with Cortana, you know that these claims are perfectly accurate and that this does seem to be one of the best personal assistants in the mobile world. Google Now does a great job too, but Cortana does seem to have her own personality.

Microsoft’s Cortana is one of the strong points of Windows Phone, and one the Redmond-based company should be proud of. If only it were available in more countries.

There are a lot of people who switched to Windows Phone just to be able to use Cortana, which makes the personal assistant one of the main selling points of Microsoft’s mobile platform.

It’s unfortunate that the Windows Phone operating system has such a small market share years after it’s been launched on the market, but the Redmond-based company seems to be determined to gain as many customers as possible in the next couple of months.

Perhaps making fun of competition is one way to gain more fans, otherwise Microsoft wouldn’t have released these commercials where it puts Apple’s Siri against Cortana.

We just can’t see how Microsoft would miss the opportunity to continue to compare Cortana and Siri, which is why we expect to see more of these ads making headlines in the next few weeks.
