Microsoft's Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 and Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 (featured in the adjacent images), have been both applauded as CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards Honorees at this years' International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Microsoft's peripherals have been designed to integrate seamlessly with Windows Vista and with the 2007 Microsoft Office System.

Although both the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 and the Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 will be fully compatible with Windows Vista when the operating system will be released to the general public on January 29, 2007, Microsoft informed that their functionality is limited as far as beta versions of the operating system are concerned.

"CES is the culmination of excellence and innovation in consumer electronics and a fitting venue for Microsoft to highlight its new operating system, Windows Vista, and the desktop accessories that help PC users get the most from their computing experience," said Matt Barlow, director of worldwide marketing and partner development for Microsoft Hardware. "Our new line of mice, keyboards and LifeCams combine cutting-edge design with the technologies consumers need to work and play smarter, and we are thrilled to have two of our newest products recognized at CES for their superior innovations."

The Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 and the Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 will be showcased throughout the duration of CES 2007. Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 is already available for purchase for $99.95. However, Microsoft will only begin delivering the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 as of May 2007 for $299.95.
