The newly released package includes updated drivers for all of the tablet’s components

A few moments ago, Microsoft unveiled its January 2014 Firmware and Driver package release developed for Surface Pro 2 tablets running under the Windows 8.1 platform, which includes all the drivers for all of the tablet’s components.

The new update installs an improved Realtek HD audio driver, contains the 14.69.24044.150 Marvell Bluetooth and WLAN combo package, and also includes Intel’s LPC Controller, SMBus, and SATA AHCI installation files version 9.4.0.1021.

In addition to that, the January 2014 archive also contains Intel’s 9.5.10.1658 MEI driver, 10.18.10.3262 Graphics package, and 6.16.00.3117 display audio installation files, as well as the 1.0.1.0 display panel and 2.0.51.0 Cover information driver.

Moreover, LifeCam 4.25.529.0, accessory driver 2.0.55.0, covel audio 2.0.73.0, cover telemetry 2.0.212.0, and integration package 2.0.52.1 are also included within this latest release.

As for the firmware versions, Microsoft’s fresh update contains the 22.03.50 Embedded controller firmware, the 2.03.848 system aggregator firmware, and the 2.04.0350 UEFI firmware, as well as the 2.0.208.0 Cover update files.
