Microsoft has rolled out a new system software update developed for its Xbox 360 console, namely version 2.0.16767.0, which should fix various video problems, add small changes to the Games section, as well as improve overall system performance.

In addition to that, if the console is updated to the present release, the unit will receive new options for auto-downloads, background downloads, and shutdown time under the console settings.

When it comes to installing the release, the producer has made available two downloadable packages, one for upgrading the Xbox 360 using a USB removable storage, and the other file for installing the 2.0.16767.0 version using a CD or DVD drive.

Either way, to apply the new software, save and extract the desired archive, copy/burn its content onto a formatted USB or a blank CD/DVD drive (depending on which package you download), remove it from the computer, and connect/insert it into the Xbox 360 system.

Now simply reboot the console and select “Yes” when prompted to initiate the installation process, and wait patiently for the new software to be applied on the console. Upon completion, remove the USB or CD drive, power up the Xbox and you’re done.

That being said, download Microsoft Xbox 360 Firmware 2.0.16767.0 for the desired update method and update the console’s software to the latest version. Also, constantly check our website in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
