Microsoft’s Outlook.com email platform is currently down for some users across the world, only days after the company officially released the final version of the service.

According to users who posted on the company’s support forums, they’re all provided by with a “service unavailable” error and nothing happens after a few page refreshes.

“I'm having the same issue and so is my daughter. I can access calendar and the service status says it's all normal. I get the blank white screen with service unavailable in top left corner,” one user wrote.

The problem, however, isn’t affecting all users worldwide, as our accounts seem to be working just fine at the time of writing this article. We’ve managed not only to successfully log in, but also to send and receive a couple of messages in just a matter of seconds.

Update: Microsoft has restored access to Outlook.com. More information is available here.

My own Hotmail account is not accessible due to the service being unavailable.
This confirms my own suspicions about Microsoft's policy of letting down it's users with it's products`,due to no longer issuing 'service packs',but, just leaving it's products full of bugs & just rolling out newer versions.
This is exactly what EA does with it's game software, such as Battlefield.

We end up with shoddy products that fail the test of time, that cost the earth, but, which are quickly superseeded by a newer version of the same shoddy workmanship.
It's a spiral of decline, coming after generations of Microsoft products that,in general, improved as time went on,it's a complete reversal,an acknowledgement of business failure.

I absolutely agree with you; I'm having the same problem: I can't anymore access to my emails! ;( Miserable custumers...

I think that a company like Microsoft could give us a better service.
