There’s no secret that Microsoft plans to expand its retail network on the Old Continent, but the company has come down to a rather awkward strategy to entice Europeans to buy its products.

Redmond has recently opened a new so-called space in Madrid to showcase its products, including Windows 8.1, Windows Phones, and Surface tablets to Spanish users, but contrary to what you’d expect, the company doesn’t sell anything here.

The Espacio Microsoft is only intended to let visitors try out Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets, Windows 8.1 laptops, Windows Phone, and Office, but also to talk with company experts to find out more information about these new products. The Xbox One will also be on display, and so will be touch-capable devices from Microsoft’s partners, such as Toshiba, and HP.

The new location will also host a few concerts with local bands, the company says on the official Espacio Microsoft page. It will stay open until January 5, 2014.
