A new temporary store is planned in Amsterdam to promote Windows 8 and the Surface

Microsoft will release the new Windows 8 next week and, to make sure everybody gets it as soon as possible, the company is planning to open several new stores in the near future.

Amsterdam, for example, will get its very own Microsoft Store right on October 26, which is unofficially known as the Windows 8 launch day.

It’ll be only a temporary location though, WebSonic.nl writes, so Microsoft will most likely use it to promote new products such as Windows 8 and the Surface.

Microsoft is yet to issue an official comment on this new store, but since the company is making efforts to turn both the Surface tablet and Windows 8 into major hits, the decision to open a new temporary store in Amsterdam pretty much makes sense.
