Microsoft has just announced that its Student Advantage program is now available for students at 35,000 schools across the world.

The Student Advantage benefit, which was launched in October, has been expanded to provide more students with free access to Office productivity tools and make it easier for them to use powerful tools such as Word and Excel.

“In October, we announced a new benefit called Student Advantage, making it easy for students to get access to the latest version of Microsoft Office and better prepare themselves for the tools used in modern day workplaces. Today, Student Advantage is available to more than 35,000 educational institutions worldwide,” Microsoft said.

“All schools and universities that license Office 365 ProPlus or Office Professional Plus for staff and faculty can now also provide access to Office 365 ProPlus for students at no additional cost.”

Redmond has also added that it’s now working with more schools across the world to expand its partnership, so expect similar news on the Student Advantage program to be revealed soon.
