14 DAY TRIAL // Good news for users of Android tablets who also want to get productive with them. As you might as well know, in November Microsoft revealed the closed Office preview for Android tablets.
Back then users were invited to sign up in order to get a hold of the preview, but starting this week the previews for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint have been made openly-available for your Android tabs

Microsoft’s popular productivity suite has been around for Android smartphones for quite some time now, but naturally it will be a lot more useful to have Office onboard devices with larger screens.
The Android smartphone version of Office has been free since this spring, after an unfortunate phase when Microsoft required users to get an Office 365 subscription.
Going back to the tablet preview, even if it has been made available for everybody, users have been reporting that not all tablets are compatible with the suite. It seems that Intel-powered devices are being left out in the cold for the time being.
It also appears the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, which runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 platform, is not supported. But the Office apps work just fine on the Nexus 9.
In its official blog post announcing the apps availability, Microsoft does mention users of ARM-based Android tablets running KitKat or Lollipop, with screen sizes ranging between 7-inch and 10.1-inch can go ahead to Google Play and download the applications. Pick them up by following the links:
The final release of Office for Android tablets should be coming out later this year. While we wait on that, you should also know revamped iPad and iPhone versions have already been made available and a touch-optimized version of Office for Windows tablets is expected to be rolled out into the wild around the same time Windows 10 becomes available.
