Via the Access 14 developer kitchen, Microsoft is preparing to offer a taste of Office 14. The Redmond giant has so far offered little official details on the successor of the Office 2007 System which shipped concomitantly with Windows Vista at the end of January 2007. However, as far as the development of Office 14 Access is concerned, the company is making consistent headway with the first Beta release lingering on the horizon.

“Interested in a sneak peak at our next version of Access? We are holding a developer kitchen on the Redmond Campus, November 10-13, 2008. This conference will focus on building Access 14 applications using our latest builds. We are looking for Access developers to share with us early feedback on the product before the Beta release,” revealed Clint Covington, Software design, Microsoft Office Access.

Developers that wish to attend the Access 14 kitchen will have to contact Covington directly, with the Redmond company warning that space for the event is limited. At the same time, the software giant is promising that all attendees will have the chance to impact the development process of the next iteration of Office Access. Participants will get the bits of the latest development milestone of Office Access 14.

“This conference is designed for a small number of invited guests to spend four days with our Redmond team. On Day 1, Program Management will reveal the product vision, demonstrate new functionality and answer questions. Days 2 - 4, participants will be hands-on with the product. Feedback will be collected throughout the conference,” Covington added.

The Access 14 developer kitchen is obviously an event aimed at developers, but at the same time, Covington indicated that enterprise IT managers are equally welcomed to attend. In addition, Microsoft is also looking to attract members of the Access community from writers to website owners.
