I would rather enjoy a couple of Gamer points...

Well, Microsoft sure likes to keep its promises, when it comes to awarding customers with goodies for bearing with the lag of their Xbox Live service. They had initially announced a "free full arcade game" delivered to the fans, in order to state that the company really is sorry for the Live outage at Christmas time and past it.

The free game's name is Undertow and if you think you've heard it someplace else, you have, as it's already been offered on Xbox Live back in November for 800 Microsoft points. Just so you don't miss it, keep in mind that it will be made available this Wednesday, December 23rd at 2.00 AM PST (10:00) and the offer will last till Sunday at 11:59pm PST (7:59 GMT) as reported by Spong.com. Microsoft's initiative reminds me of their previous such offer, that allowed us to download the Carcassone title for free, through the Xbox Live.

This title was available in November as we've informed you in this piece of news. There's one problem that comes to my mind right now... What if some folks already have Undertow on their Xbox 360 hard drives and they spent 800 Microsoft Points for it? What's their compensation, then? And most of all, why did Microsoft pick this game over other titles? I'm guessing that it may be popular or it might be one of those often downloaded arcade games...

Some Xbox 360 gamers would have surely been more pleased to receive Gamer points instead of a free product that was already available a couple of months ago. It's very much like your phone company suffering from signal issues exactly when you need to make a call and then getting free minutes in the weekend, when you won't need them any more... I don't want to sound picky, but I guess that it's up to you, 360 gamers to decide, if you dig this offer or not.
