Microsoft Offers Free 400 MS Points With Every 1600 MS Points Spent

Microsoft is hosting a brand new promotion on Xbox Live, and will offer anyone that spends 1600 MS Points on certain games, add-ons or avatars an instant refund of 400 MS Points.

As you can imagine, there are a few brief catches, but not anything too severe.

To be eligible for the 400 MS Points refund, you must first download the Microsoft Game Studios Offer gamerpic, which will automatically register your account for the special offer.

After that, you must buy items worth 1600 MS Points that are featured in the list below, ranging from arcade games to add-ons or avatar items for your virtual character.

You might want to hurry up though, as the offer ends at 11:59 P.M. ET on November 22, 2010.

The refund will be automatically deposited into your Xbox Live account or will be sent as a token through email.

Microsoft also says that you shouldn't panic if the 400 MS Points don't appear in your account immediately, and to allow up to four weeks for delivery.

Either way, if you've put off buying great arcade games like Braid or Alien Breed, game add-ons for titles like Forza Motorsport 3 or Gears of War 2, or even some items for your avatar, this is the time to act.
