Microsoft: My, Oh My I want to say goodbye

It will be some time before the first beta version of Longhorn will appear, but already the emerging details point towards a change in the Microsoft's concept regarding operating systems.

Folders as My Computer, My Documents, My Pictures and so on will be renamed in Longhorn. Don't be afraid, they won't
get new names, it's only that Microsoft decided to drop the My prefix.

From now on the folders will be called simply Computer, Documents, Pictures and so on.

Microsoft considers that it's high time to give up on this names, which have long been the symbols of Windows OS, because, in the company's opinion, PCs have become shared work instruments, and do not inspire the same feeling of alienation Microsoft felt responsible to overcome by inserting the prefix My.

The nostalgic users should know that the prefix My will still be available in denominations as My Search Page, My E-bay and so on, and if you're really bonded to these denominations, it is likely that Longhorn will allow you to rename the folders with the prefix My in front of them.

Or, you can use Microsoft and laugh at the idiots who like to bash one of the greatest American companies in existence. A company of innovators and developers who are still excited about their day jobs.

I wonder if it is coincidence that 5% of web traffic is going to Fire Fox with it's arsenal of anti-ms users and the number of homosexuals in today's society is estimated at about 5%. - That's a thinker..

To be fair Fire Fox is a wonderful browser but don't full yourselves. W3C had plenty of help from MS, and many of the great innovations you "5%" people enjoy were adopted by IE years before any other browsers. PNG/Transparencies - Sorry that's IE who supported it with their not out of date filters.

When Longhorn and IE7 are released I will enjoy a nice smooth sail through my day while you struggle with your dingy trying to find wind.
