Microsoft has just released a new update for its famous Mahjong game on Windows 8.1, the app that has already registered thousands of downloads since the debut in the Windows Store.

The company hasn’t provided too many details on what’s new in this release, but it did mention that Microsoft Mahjong comes with bug fixes, so do not expect any new features after installing it.

A previous update brought us a few more goodies, coming with full support for Windows 8.1, general bug fixes and optimizations, and new puzzle layouts.

“Microsoft Mahjong is the classic matching game updated with beautiful imagery, intuitive controls, and all the features that fans of Mahjong have come to expect. Enjoy gorgeous graphics and relaxing sounds with multiple themes to choose from. Complete E2puzzles at four levels of difficulty, perfect for mahjong beginners and experts alike. With the dynamic Undo system, you have the option of rewinding to fix mistakes,” the app description published in the Windows Store reads.

As you would expect, this new version is available on both desktops and tablets, so in case you’re playing it on a Windows RT unit, the update should be there for you too.

Overall, this update clearly comes in handy to everyone playing the game already, but also for new users, so go ahead and download Microsoft Mahjong for Windows 8.1 to see what’s new.
