14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is working to bring two new high-end smartphones on the market, but they won't come too soon. Codenamed Cityman and Talkman, both handsets will be launched later this year, as soon as Microsoft releases Windows 10 Mobile.
However, the first details on the smartphones' specs have already leaked and even though it's a bit too early to talk about them, there's a high-chance that many of these features will be kept in the final version of the upcoming devices.
Although we only know them as Cityman and Talkman, many refer to these high-end smartphones as Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL.
Their possible market name is an indication that Microsoft was inspired by Apple's iPhone 6 marketing policy and will launch a similar smartphone, but with different size display.
Since we don't have a first image of any of these Lumia smartphones (the one leaked yesterday is fake), people continue to create concept images that are meant to offer fans an idea of what the devices might look like.
The folks at Microsoft Lovers have just published some Microsoft Lumia 940 & Lumia 940 XL concept images. Both smartphones feature aluminum unibody design and are powered by Windows 10 operating system.
Super AMOLED displays and 3D-Touch technology
The Lumia 940 sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. On the back, the handset boasts a 25-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss lens, triple-tone LED flash, autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), and 4K video recording.
In the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera with super wide-angle, and Kinect camera sensor, as well as Intel RealSense 3D technology.
Microsoft Lumia 940 is equipped with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB or internal memory.
Last but not least, the smartphone should feature 3D-Touch technology and 3,250 mAh battery with super-fast charging.
Moving on to the second concept phone, the Lumia 940 XL, this one comes with similar features, but a higher display. Instead of a 5.2-inch display, Microsoft Lumia 940 XL sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display that supports Quad HD resolution.
Another difference would be the fact that it packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 815 processor and a better 3,950 mAh battery.
