The next Windows Phone handset coming to Verizon might be the Lumia 735, if the US-based carrier doesn't launch the LG Lancet first.

That's right, the Big Red is expected to release two new Windows Phone handsets in the coming weeks, the Lumia 735 and LG Lancet.

A few days ago Microsoft accidentally tweeted an image of the Lumia 735 regarding a Windows Phone application, but they have quickly removed it without any explanations.

Today, famous leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) posted the first press render of the Lumia 735 for Verizon Wireless. As seen in the picture, the Nokia logo has been replaced with Microsoft's branding.

Also at the bottom of the back side and on the top right near the front-facing camera, Verizon put its logos. Those hoping that the carrier won't tag the Lumia 735 with its logo will probably be disappointed, but we can't say this was unexpected.

Unfortunately, aside from the leaked pic we have nothing else that could point out when exactly Verizon plans to launch the Lumia 735.

There are no details on pricing and availability yet

Usually, when official renders of smartphones not yet launched leak online, there are some pointers that most of time indicate when they are going to be released.

One of these pointers would be the homescreen where the date displayed sometimes indicated when that smartphone will be launched on the market.

Sadly, the date that appears on Lumia 735's display can't be related with a future release date. However, the Monday 20 date might indicate that the smartphone has been delayed for about a month.

The Lumia 735 probably should have been released on April 20 (Monday), but there's also a chance that the smartphone will be launched on July 20 (also Monday).

There's a third possibility and that's the fact that the date on the homescreen isn't related to the phone's release date.

That means that we can only wait for more details on Lumia 735's price and availability to emerge online, so stay tuned for more on this one.
