It's only been a day since we reported Verizon’s plans to launch the LG Lancet mid-range Windows Phone handset, and now it looks like the carrier has another Windows Phone handset in the pipeline, the Lumia 735.

The Lumia 735 was rumored to arrive at Verizon for a long time, but the Big Red delayed the release of the Windows Phone handset for unknown reasons.

Today, the folks over at PhoneScoop have spotted the Lumia 735 smartphone at FCC, which indicates that the device might be released very soon.

Unlike the original Lumia 735 that features Nokia's branding, Verizon's version has the carrier's logo on the back, along with the Microsoft branding.

Microsoft Lumia 735 was expected to arrive at Verizon “this spring,” and since May is the last month the smartphone could be released, it means that the Big Red should make it available in the next few weeks.

No details on price have been leaked yet

Windows Phone fans will have quite an interesting month since Verizon is about to launch not one, but two smartphones powered by Microsoft's operating system.

Back on the Lumia 735, there's a high chance that the smartphone will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 right out of the box.

For the time being, Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL are the only ones shipping with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2, but Microsoft confirmed that a few other smartphones might receive the GDR2 update in the coming weeks, and Lumia 735 is one of them.

When it comes to specs, Microsoft Lumia 735 sports a 4.7-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. The phone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Also, the Lumia 735 packs a 6.7-megapixel rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front for video calls and selfies.
